Disinfection and sterilization are of primary importance for our profession and we have raised it to the highest level. All instruments used in the beauty salon, which can injure, cut or transmit infectious disease, must undergo a process of disinfection and sterilization.
We believe that everyone should know how that process takes place, so we leave you the step-by-step disinfection and sterilization process in the blog. You will be surprised to see that most often you get disinfection instead of sterilization. So let's start:

Step 1
Before and after each use, all instruments are immersed in a container with a disinfectant solution or in an ULTRASONIC TUB with disinfectant. solution. The difference is that ultrasonic waves also remove impurities that cannot be seen by the naked eye and from hard-to-reach places. We chose ultrasound, so we will continue to describe it that way. Ultrasound disinfection or pre-sterilization takes 5 minutes. After that, we rinse the instruments under running water, wipe them and leave them to dry completely.

Step 2
We pack dry instruments in kraft packets and write the date, what's inside, and the name of the employee who performed the sterilization. Kraft packets are arranged on the shelves of the STERILIZER side by side (not one on top of the other) to sterilize all the instruments. The sterilizer can be steam under pressure (autoclave) or dry, hot air used in beauty salons. Sterilization with dry, hot air at 180 degrees takes 60 minutes.

Step 3
When the sterilizer is finished, we check if the process went as it should. On each kraft packet, there is an indicator that changes color after sterilization and this tells us that the process has been successful. Every employee is obliged to show you the indicator on the package and open it in front of you.

As for the files, they can transmit nail disease (e.g. fungus), and can also cut the client's skin due to unprofessional use or the wrong choice of granulation. The files are made of material that is not resistant to disinfectant solutions, heat, or steam, and cannot be sterilized in a sterilizer with dry air or steam. Therefore, we have provided disposable files for manicures and pedicures, which we will return to you upon completion of the service. It is exactly this set from the picture that every client gets, every time they come to us.
